What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep. The next time your browser talks to that website, it sends the file back, which is how a site recognizes a returning browser. Similar tools do the same kind of job: local storage in the browser, and tiny image requests known as web beacons or pixels. This policy covers all of them.
Cookies this site sets itself
None. The calculators run in your browser and remember nothing between visits. We don't use cookies or local storage to save what you type, and we don't run analytics.
Cookies from our hosting provider
The site is delivered by Cloudflare. To keep the site safe from automated attacks, it can set a security cookie in some situations. These are strictly necessary to deliver the site and are not used for advertising.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| __cf_bm | Tells real visitors apart from bots | 30 minutes |
| cf_clearance | Remembers that you passed a security check | 30 minutes |
Advertising cookies
At the moment this site does not show ads, so no advertising cookies are set. This section describes what happens once ads are turned on.
The site is paid for by advertising from Google AdSense. When ads are shown, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
As a result of ads being served, these third parties may place and read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons or your IP address to collect information.

| test_cookie | doubleclick.net | Checks whether your browser accepts cookies | 15 minutes |
Google publishes the full, current list in its cookie information for ad products, and explains what it does with the data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. The names and lifetimes above are Google's and can change.
Your choices
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland
No advertising cookie is set until you say yes. When ads are active, a message asks for your choice the first time you visit. You can accept, refuse, or pick which purposes you allow, and refusing does not stop the calculators from working.
You can change your mind at any time with the "Privacy and cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page.
If you are in a US state with a privacy law
These laws don't require us to ask before cookies are set, but they give you the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for targeted advertising. When ads are active, visitors in those states see a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link.
You can also switch on Global Privacy Control in your browser. Where state law requires it, Google receives that signal and limits how it uses your data for the ad request.
Wherever you are
- Turn off personalized ads from Google in Ads Settings.
- Opt out of personalized advertising from many companies at once at aboutads.info.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Everything on this site works without them.
Do Not Track
The older "Do Not Track" browser setting was never given an agreed meaning, so this site does not respond to it. Global Privacy Control, described above, is the signal that carries legal weight.
Changes to this policy
If the cookies used on the site change, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
